October school holidays fun

October School holidays are fast approaching. Are the kids nagging you yet?

The Bay of Islands has so many different options on offer. For the outdoorsy family, the Sporty family, the relaxed/chill out family.

Here are some accommodation and restaurant options that we highly recommend and what works for our family.

The Edgewater Palms Paihia has some beautiful, spacious and clean family rooms. They even accommodate your fur babies. These apartments are located right on the waterfront in Paihia within a 5-minute walk into town and restaurants.

If you guys would prefer to stay over in stunning Russell there are multiple accommodation places and restaurants suited for families. I recommend eating at Hones Garden however they can be quite busy and do not take reservations for less than 10 people so make sure you are there early.

Russell Information on the Russell wharf has all the latest information available and happy to book any accommodation or activities.

Russell top 10 Holiday park is a great place to stay if you are campers. Also the Duke of Marlborough for couples and the Russell Motel are good places to stay at as well.

A must do is most definitely The Treaty grounds

We can spend two days there easily, which is awesome as they give you a two day pass with your entrance fee. The new war museum Te Rau Aroha is very informative and their evening performance and hangi is great as well.

Anyhow, there is so much to see and do in the Bay of Islands and the surrounding areas so from all of us locals we are looking forward to showing you around in our slice of paradise. See you all very soon.
